Headlines
- 15.2 million kilos of eggs were produced during January–March, which is 13% more than during the corresponding period of 2009.
- 72% of eggs were produced in hen houses with battery cages, 25% in barn-type hen houses and 3% came from organic poultry farms. The production volumes for caged hens include eggs from hens kept in enriched cages.
