Number of Pigs

Description

The numbers of pigs are gathered in statistics twice a year. The statistics contain data on the numbers of pigs on 1 April and on 1 December by pig categories and by Employment and Economic Development Centre. Data on pig numbers are also available by other regional classifications and herd size. The data are based on the farm survey and the Farm Register.

Revisions in this statistic

Statistics on Number of Pigs will be incorporated into new statistics on Number of Livestock starting from statistical reference year 2009.
