Description
The Price Monitoring of Grain and Turnip Rape reports the weekly market prices of basic grains, as traded by industry and grain export businesses. Market prices are given by municipality, either as the factory purchase price (delivered to the factory gate) or the port of export price (delivered to the port).
Content
Weekly market prices are collected for bread wheat, rye and malting barley, as well as wheat, barley and oats used for feed, in both Finland and other EU countries. Price information is collected from 17 Finnish municipalities. Bread wheat and turnip rape futures are also followed on France’s MATIF exchange.
Categories
The statistics are presented by municipality. Depending on the EU country or municipality in question, price data may be collected at different stages of the grain chain.
Data collection and sources
Data is collected using both corporate websites and questionnaires. Prices for other EU countries are collated from European Commission reports.
Update frequency
Data is collected weekly.

The Market Prices of Grain in Finland and the Market Prices of Grain in the EU reports are both published on Wednesdays. Finnish prices are given for the previous week, while the EU prices shown are for two weeks ago.
