Tike as a statistics compiler

Tike compiles statistics on the structure of Finnish agriculture, agricultural production, horticultural production and agricultural product prices. We also publish statistical compilations relating to agriculture. Tike’s agricultural statistics are connected to larger statistical systems, such as the food chain, environmental indicators and the food quality chain. All of these are important both at a national level and for individual citizens, and there is an increasing need for combined data that extends across organisational borders.

Tike is one of Finland’s four statistics authorities. We offer services to those who produce and use data on agriculture, rural areas and the food economy. Tike’s standard services include general statistical information and customised expert services. Our strategy revolves around enhancing the cooperation network between agricultural and food economy information providers, as well as international networking between statistics providers in our industry.

Statistics Finland, MTT Agrifood Research Finland and the Finnish Food Safety Authority Evira also produce agricultural statistics in Finland.
