In the last quarter of the year 2011
- A total of 460 million kilos of cereals entered the market from farms. This is 73 million kilos less than during the previous quarter and the same as during the same quarter in the previous year.
- Malting barley was purchased more: a total of 49 million kilos of malting barley entered the market from farms.
- A total of 29 million kilos of turnip rape and rape entered the market from farms. This is more than double the amount when compared with the previous quarter and 28 million kilos less than during the same quarter in the previous year.
- Industry used a total of 356 million kilos of domestic and foreign cereals, which is the same as during the previous quarter and 24 million kilos more than during the same quarter in the previous year.
In 2011
- A total of 1.7 billion kilos of cereals entered the market from farms. This is 0.5 billion kilos less than in the previous year.
- A total of 103 million kilos of turnip rape and rape entered the market from farms. This is 57 million kilos less than in the previous year.
- Industry used a total of 1.4 billion kilos of cereals. Of the cereals, 43 per cent was used in the feed industry and 31 per cent in the food industry.
At the close of 2011
- There was a total of almost 513 million kilos of cereals and 12 million kilos of turnip rape and rape in the stocks of trade and industry.
