- The growth of yoghurt consumption only showed a half of a percent increase, totalling 22.5 kg per capita in 2009.
- The consumption of butter increased by 0.2 kg, while the consumption of butter-vegetable mixtures decreased by 0.2 kg.
- The total consumption of cereals in 2009 was 79.5 kg per capita of which 48 kg was wheat, 15.5 kg rye, 4.9 kg oats and 5.2 kg rice.
- The consumption of vegetables increased by 4 percent, totalling 71.4 kg per capita. Fresh vegetables accounted for 59.1 kg.
- The consumption of fresh fruit remained almost unchanged at 46.4 kg.
- The consumption of poultry meat increased by 2 percent, totalling 17.5 kg per capita. The consumption of both beef and pork went down by two percent to 17.8 and 34.4 kg per capita respectively.
- The consumption of eggs was 9.5 kg per capita.
- The consumption of milk decreased by one percent to 132.7 litres of which slightly over half was low-fat milk and 39 percent skimmed milk.
